Happy Halloween from Zone Base

This Halloween season sure did fly by a lot faster than I expected. It seems just like yesterday I was welcoming you to another spooky season here on Planet Zone. I had a lot of fun regardless and am happy to have spent another with all of you. I'm looking forward to trick or treaters and a fun Halloween night.

I'll be uploading pictures to my Instagram and TikTok if you want to check it out. Admittedly my TikTok hasn't been updated much, but I do have plans. You'll see. Thanks everyone for supporting Zone Base and celebrating another Halloween season with me. Happy Halloween 🎃

Two more days till Halloween...

Halloween 3: Season of the Witch is one of my favorite movies. When it comes to the Halloween movies, the first 3 are my favorites. I loved the idea of turning the movies into an anthology series based around the holiday. However you can't rewrite history and they already had made two movies about the same story by the time they had the idea. Last year when Neca announced they were released a set of figures based on the doomed trick or treaters from H3... I was sold instantly. I found them in January. I chose to cover them now. Seemed fitting.

Inside the themed box is the figures representing different costumed kids from the infamous montage sequence from the movie. Each kid has trick or treat bags and two separate versions of the masks. One as it should be, the other as they're dying after watching the big giveaway. If you remember the scene of Little Buddy writhing around on the floor while snakes and all sorts of nasty creatures poured from his face then you know what I mean. The set also comes with a lenticular screen TV to recreate the scene. Fun fact, the original planned ending of the movie was all the screams of the dying children. They didn't go with that, but you can pretend it did with this set of toys!

The level of detail is pretty amazing. Each mask had it's Silver Shamrock button and really looks like it's on screen counterpart. The kids are pleasantly articulated and you can swap around the cloth costumes and accessories if you want. I really should have paired the witches cape with the pumpkin kid for the picture to be screen accurate, but that's how she came out of the box. This is a great set of figures of one of my favorite movies. As the season winds down to a close they felt just right to play with. Halloween is Sunday, that means we've got an entire weekend of spooky fun ahead. I know just the movie to watch.

Bios: Howlback

Function: Enforcer

A member of the Cobalt Sentries, a public safety unit attached to the Decepticon Secret Police, comprised of elite soldiers regularly clad in blue armor. She exercises her abilities suppressing insurgents or exposing resistance activities in the Decepticon-controlled regions of planet Cybertron or on occupied worlds, and has the unconditional authority to arrest and execute any citizens suspected of disrupting the Decepticons' steel order. Possessed of graceful bearing and elegance, she is also extremely severe and uncompromising, and will silence backtalking subordinates with a sharp roar. In combat, she employs a Feedbacker Shield, which absorbs, modulates, and redirects energy weapons back at enemies.

Dracula Almost Didn't Save The World

No Halloween season would be complete without a viewing (or 5 million viewings) of my all time favorite Halloween special. The Halloween That Almost Wasn't or sometimes called The Night Dracula Saved The World is a classic piece of cinema mostly forgotten by the sands of time. Dracula and his gang of Monsters have to convince the Witch to fly over the moon on Halloween. If she doesn't, Halloween will be canceled forever! What's her damn problem? Well, Dracula is historically a butthole and she wants to quit. We've all been there. It's time to get our last few thousand viewings in before having to wait all the way till next Halloween to watch it again. What torture, January is so long away!

That dude is Creepy

If I'm going to talk about creepy robots this week, then obviously there's one very specific Gobot to cover. Creepy is a Monster Gobot (or Gildis as a Devil Invader) who is a special toy. The normal retail version was black and purple (Gildis was black and red), however Tonka offered a special green and purple version via mail in promotion. Complete with spooky commercial!

Basically if we're having a spooky week, there's no bot more perfect than Creepy. IT'S EVEN IN HIS NAME! Creepy is mostly die-cast metal with some plastic parts. Like all Gobots, the plastic can be brittle, so finding one with broken legs is pretty common. You can see in the picture that the tip of a leg on mine is broken. Those legs can actually be bent back in robot mode and I always forget to do so. Creepy transforms into a radical scorpion like monster machine...thing.

One day I need to get the purple version, but it's hard not to be happy with this one. The bright green and purple are beautifully eye searing. It looks as if he just crawled out of a vat of mutant slime. Evil mutant slime to be exact, because he's a bad guy. Creepy is a solid figure, one again decently articulated for a toy of it's time. That's mostly due to the weird monster mode. The creative transformation provides moving parts. You may not be able to tell from the pictures, but the chest rotates taking arms and head with it. Creepy is an awesome Gobot and thanks to the two different versions not super hard to come by. The perfect spooky robot to spend Halloween with, but he might still your candy.

Stranger Features with Frightening Things

What do you get if you combine a spooky television show heavily flavored with nostalgia and then make action figures heavily inspired by an older toy line? You get one of the best surprises of 2021, that's what. Bandai has began making Stranger Things action figures (awesome). The new Target exclusive series is a direct homage to The Real Ghostbusters Fright Features figures of legend. I don't mean that lightly, these are practically lost figures that seemingly found release. Sculpted identically and even in the same scale. Series one is Eleven and Dustin as you can see in the pictures about and below. Each kid comes with a build-able Demogorgon part for extra fun. The packaging is even reminiscent of the originals. Bandai really nailed it.

Eleven who's Fright Feature is the use of her powers. Squeeze her legs together to raise her arm and open her mouth as he nose bleeds. Pushing a button on Dustin's backpack causes Dart to pop out from under his ball cap causing him to scream in terror. Bandai also has larger figures of the Demogorgon and Demodogs available as well as a more realistic Stranger Things line and even a Premium series. I'm definitely sold on the monsters even though they're straight forward figures and not Fright Features style... imagine if they did that. The future of this series will contain the rest of the kids and I can't wait. This is the perfect set of figures with the perfect gimmick. I love it so, I hope the rest of the cast get the Fright Features treatment.

Bios: Tentakil

"Embrace your enemies... until they're terminated."

Function: Underwater Demolition

Crushes submarines like they were soda cans. The more benevolent he appears, the crueler he becomes. Electomagnetic tentacles add super strength to his vise-like grip. Electrically-charged feelers short circuit and stun on contact. In robot Mode, carries dual slime lasers that shoot globs of highly-adhesive gelatinous goo. In weapons Mode, transforms to twin 50,000 volt lightning rifles. Also able to burst away in a cloud of viscous black grease that hinders his pursuers. Combines with fellow seacons to form Piranacon.

That morning, I looked like any other boy...

Did you really think we'd get through another Halloween season without my raving about PAAS Halloween Make-Up Kits? Admittedly I post this thing a billion times throughout the year regardless of the season. That's because I love them. It may not look like much to some of you now, but at the time they were amazing! There was just something about that cardboard standee at the grocery store holding all the different kits that just beamed "FUCKING AWESOME". I love looking at the make-up kits throughout the spooky season. The packaging, cheesy pics that you'll never quite replicate. All the broken open ones spilled on the shelf, all the unsold ones showing up at the local liquidation stores long expired and usable the following year. Just the visage of them is pure Halloween to me. PAAS wasn't my first make-up kit, or even my last. That PAAS Werewolf kit though, was the best.

Zarios in the desert, a Scorp in the streets

I originally got Scorp not long after he was first released. The one in the picture isn't my original one. The one pictured is a new one I bought at ToyLanta earlier this year. He's in pretty good shape, other than his legs sag a little. Normally he stands just a bit taller, but aside from that his joints are tight and his paint isn't badly chipped. Scorp is a member of the Monster Gobots, a group of Renegades I tend to favor. You could probably guess why. In Machine Robo his name is Zarios and he's a member of the Devil Invaders. Scorp is perfectly monstery for this weeks spooky shenanigans.

As the name would imply, Scorp turns into a freaky scorpion/tank hybrid. Construction wise, he's almost entirely die cast metal with just a few plastic parts. Those plastic parts can be brittle, so finding one in this good condition (let alone for $8) isn't easy. For a toy of it's age, Zarios has some decent articulation His legs can move at his hips and knees. This is due to transformation, which also means you can pose his ankles. Arms move at the shoulders and elbow. The elbows movement is slight so you can pose them naturally as the scorpion tanks pincers. In either Machine Robo or Gobots the toy has the exact same colors. The red on black looks menacing balanced well with the crome and evil green eyes.

Scorp, like the other Monster Gobots doesn't get a lot of love. I'm not sure why, they're so cool! The newer updates for Gobots and Machine Robo characters focus on the vehicular bots. That's a shame. Mind you those are cool as well, but man these guys are neat. I'd love to see them with modern engineering. If you ever find yourself in the mood to buy yourself some of these cool freaky robots, Scorp is one to look out for. His colors are striking and design unique. He'll definable stand out among your other robot toys.

A Terrorizing New Week

It's a new week here on Planet Zone and the week before Halloween. Needless to say this will be a specifically spooky week on Zone Base. It's hard to believe we're already coming to an end of the spooky season. It's been a super fun one and I've been happy to celebrate it with all of you again this year. Even though the pumpkin spice mayhem will cool down next week. I've still got plans to keep scary stuff around all year. You all know the Base is haunted, right?

This weekend I didn't do a whole lot. Checked out Ollie's for Transformers that I may have missed in their Christmas stock. Nope, just dudes I already have. Then popped in Big Lots to hopefully find that MOTU Eternian Palace Guard set that's been showing up there. Nope, again no luck. They did have some cool Playskool Power Rangers with bike sets that I'll go back and get eventually. I did stop at Target and behold finally found the new Target exclusive Stranger Things figures!

I grabbed Dustin and Eleven and plan to get the larger Demogorgon and Demodog later. The other kids will follow in future waves, so I'll have to be patient. Bandai really knocked these out of the park. We'll be talking about them later. If you don't know, trust me, they're great. Target also had the Dino Fury T-Rex Champion Megazord. I've been looking forward to this Megazord set all year and took him home as well. The other Zords will be purchased soon. These are too great.

I carved my pumpkins Sunday. One Jason Voorhees and one Grim Reaper. I originally planned to do a Michael Myers, but had a hard time picking a template from my Halloween 2 jack o' lantern book. Yes, they make that and I own it. The Switch Online expansion pack releases today and I'm looking forward to adding it as soon as it's available to me. Sega and N64 channels? Deal. I'm about to spend the day doing site work and household chores. Such is a Monday. I've got a spooky fun week planned, hope everyone enjoys it. Trick or Treat Zone Base readers. You can keep all your candy, but please share this site with your friends.

Witch's Big Weird Adventure

Without a doubt this weird ass cartoon is one of my favorite Halloween specials. It's on my list of regular viewing throughout the year whenever I want a little of the spooky season. If you haven't seen Witch's Night Out yet, well click the video and kick back. It's weird, but also pure Halloween candy in video form. I'll probably watch it a few million more times before the big day, and then after.

Oh Hell Gnaw

In that same spooky treat sack from the Mrs. I've talked about this week was Studio Series 86 Gnaw. While not outright spooky, a Sharkticon is delightfully monstery. Totally a Halloween appropriate robot. Honestly, they could do an orange jack-o-lantern version as a Halloween Horrorcon if they ever followed with that abandoned idea from 20 years ago. Ooh, it could be a Boglin. I'll just keep dreaming while they reward sites that steal from and shit on them instead. Actually, a Sharkticon is basically a robot Boglin... I'm super glad I just made that comparison. Now I'll never unsee it. Man... let's watch that awesome Japanese Boglin commercial again.

Man, I love that thing. I also love Gnaw, how couldn't I? He's this big round monster full of teeth with a robot mode that makes me think of a Gamorrean Guard. Considering all the Star Wars influences in the 1986 movie, that may not be coincidental. My brother got a Gamorrean Guard mask the same Halloween Return of the Jedi came out and wore it until he was too old to trick or treat. This toy is pretty damn great BTW. Full of articulation and character. Like all the other Studio Series 86 toys I've gotten, it looks like the character walked off my TV and became a toy I took bad pictures with on a TV tray in my living room. Just wonderful.

Gnaw transforms relatively easy. His arms becomes the shark monsters legs while his leg fold up behind him. There's a backpack that adjusts to cover those legs and forms the shark monsters back. The whip weapon connects to that for a tail and the robot head hides away as you fold the monsters big mouth over his shoulders. His gun can be mounted for a little beast mode fire power and the shark fin can be used as a dagger as a bot. Gnaw isn't just a show piece, but a well executed toy. To quote that guy Chet who lived across the street when I was in the 5th grade "he's pretty bad ass, Gnaw meen brah". Well, I assume that's how he talks now. It's the south and he once told me life is pretty wild when you play with madness like he does. That year I really wanted to be Eddie from Iron Maiden, but instead was Jason Vorhees with a bootleg fright mask. Am I forcing a bunch of Halloween stuff into this because it's almost here? Yep.

There's gold in that Coffin

I've been a fan of Treasure X since discovering it a few years ago. Admittedly I haven't kept up with it as much as I'd like to, but have always appreciated what they're doing. The newest series however, wow, so awesome. Monster Gold follows the pattern of digging through a variety of clay and potions to find a figure and treasure. The figure is a hunter that got lost finding the treasure himself! I love that odd little fiction. This time the figures are various monsters and the treasures are wonderfully monstery as well. As usual there rarest treasure is a gold dipped piece, a spider in this series.

This past weekend the wife and I exchanged spooky gift bags. A tradition of ours during the Halloween season for a little extra fun. She put a mini monster and a monster coffin in mine with some other spooky treats. Treasure X is such a neat line, she usually includes some in most gifts for me. It's hard not to like... for me anyway. The mini monster is a basic sized figure in a small coffin. Inside the coffin is a spider-webbed bag full of floam intended to be the spider webs and eggs. diffing through the stuff finds various parts. Once freed from it's sticky tomb, you've got your hunter and treasure! I got Invisibling (pictured above) and the gold spider! First pull and I got the rare treasure! It's name is Bling Back Spider btw.

The monster coffin is a more involved affair. It's much larger and a lot more messy (check out the commercial below). First off you take the attached crowbar off the coffin lid to open everything up. Under is a spiderweb bag full of floam containing monster eyes and a bug. Also are two packets of potion and a suction cup. That's all sitting on a removable tray. The tray is sitting on a paper spider web layer. Mix the two packets of potion in a cup of water and pour it on the spider web paper. After a minute of fizzing and bubbling the monster inside the coffin RISES UP! I got Count Goldula, a blue rockabilly vampire. There's also a specimen jar containing a brain.

Remove the monster from his coffin, take the crowbar, and BASH HIS HEAD IN. No really, you straight up break his head open. Inside is... THE TREASURE! I got another Blingback Spider! Two rares in a row. Neat! Afterwards, the brain from the specimen jar goes inside the head now acting as a button to open the monsters jaws. The jar is now where the hard won treasure is to be displayed. That suction cup from earlier? It attaches to the lever inside the coffin to reuse for later rising from your tomb action. Those eyes? Stick them in the monsters head. What if you get multiples? The figures (both large and small) can exchange parts for new monster creation! It's encouraged in the pamphlet! Exclamation point!

There's also an extra big lab set with even more to do, it's in the video below. Treasure X has a way of turning blind bag toys into a game and that's pretty fun. The new Monster Gold series is just the right thing for a Halloween party. I know with the pandemic lot's of folks are still nervous taking their kids out trick or treating, I can see a Monster Coffin set providing some spooky fun over some webcam Halloween parties. It's a combination of Mad Scientist and blind bag that I never saw coming. Man, what if they made...

100% that Witch

Wendy has a problem. Her sisters are a bunch of witches and they scare her. Problem is, Wendy is something of a witch herself. A pretty clumsy witch at that. What's she to do? Go trick or treating and learn how to use her own magic! Nothing like learning a little self worth to realize that you are 100% that witch.

Dracodon the Radioactive!

I finally found Dracodon this past weekend at Gamestop. I quite like these new Core Class Transformers and can't wait to find Soundwave. Not to mention it's impossible for me to dislike the neon green skeleton that is Dracodon. A straight repaint of Vertebreak that manages to look completely new with just a different color, he is awesome. I've been a big fan of the Fossilizers in general, and even though this isn't technically one... what's not to love about skeleton dinosaur Transformers? The idea sells itself! Despite looking like a member of the Devil Invaders or a Dokuro Man, Dracodon is a Maximal. The bright radioactive green colors are impossible to ignore and I can't think of a better time than Halloween to get him. This is a great toy and my only regret is that there isn't more weird colored versions of him to buy.

Shin Michael Myers 2

I've been looking forward to the newest Halloween sequel since the last one. After it got delayed due to coivid, I was disappointed. We should all be talking about Halloween Ends right now, but now that'll be next year. The pandemic caused a lot of disruption, however, I can now watch most movies comfortably at home. Which is something I've been wanting for years. So I guess there's a little bit of a silver lining in this ongoing dark cloud. Which is how I watched the all new Halloween Kills this past weekend. In my home, eating sodium free tacos with a can of Arizona Green Tea. I'm going to try and be as spoiler free from here on out, but I am talking about a new movie, so if you're sensitive to such things. Take this as a fair warning.

New Week Dash Plus

It's a new week here on Planet Zone and boy are my arms tired... wait. Anyway, it's a new week! I had a pretty good weekend and I hope you did too. The Mrs and I did our spooky season tradition of exchanging seasonal appropriate gifts and watched Halloween Kills on Peacock. More on that later.  We also went to get the annual Halloween set of doughnuts at Krispy Kreme. There was a Squishmallow event at Five Below with Halloween Squishmallows for $4 each. The Mrs collects those and we got her some good ones. I love a trip to Five Below!

Finally found a Dracodon and in the spooky gift sack I was spoiled rotten. A new Fright Features Ecto-1 and some Mini Pufts. Some Treasure X Monsters, Studio Series 86 Gnaw, candy, and this year's Halloween Star Wars Droid! Spooky fun with half the month to go! I've got a fun week in mind here on the Base for your eyeholes. I'm still a little extra busy, so don't be surprised to see some shorter posts here and there. There's no ads either and I buy my own coffee too! Thank you for your continued support and for reading Zone Base! Please share with your friends!

Michael Landon Kills

Last Halloween, Johnathan fought the devil to save the soul of his friend Mark.

one year later...

It's Halloween night, and Mark finds it the perfect time to get a submarine sandwich and watch spooky movies. Unfortunately, the sandwich shop is ran by the devil. Needless to say, Mark falls asleep in front of the TV haunted by indigestion filled nightmares. Meanwhile, Johnathan decides to go out for a walk and befriends a lonely kid. This leads to a trick or treat adventure full of mischief and the most bat shit insane Halloween special ever made.

Slimer wants my Spooky Snack

It's hard to eat healthy during a holiday known for it's sweet tooth. Just ask Slimer, he wants my little spooky snack. That's my new Fright Features Slimer BTW. We hung out all Sunday. He's more of a throwback to The Real Ghostbusters toys than the other new Fright Features toys by Hasbro. To me anyway. Slimer's known for floating, so there's a pool of slime dripping from his body that serves as a base. There's a button on his back that when pushed causes him to spring up arms in the air saying BOO! While doing so, his giant mouth opens super wide. So wide that you can see his back bone as his giant tongue rolls out. Slimer's Fright Feature means to scare the shit out of somebody... which it did when I showed my Mom. The action startled her. He's not always cute I guess. I know Fright Features is a movie tie in line, but I really hope it goes on for awhile. I love it.

Blobkin Glows in the Dark... and in my Heart

My brand new Boglin came in today! The Mrs. had pre-ordered this guy for me way earlier in the year and I've been waiting anxiously ever since. I haven't made my admiration for Boglins a secret around this place and actually holding Blobkin in my hands feels like a trophy after the past few months. If he looks familiar, Blobkin is one of the original gang with a new toy. Originally one of the Halloween Boglins, Blobkin came with a trick or treat bag! That's a pretty rad extra, now the Halloween series is called Dark Lord Boglins and includes new member Crazy Clown. They're slowly showing up at standard retail and I hope to get some more. I really wish they'd revisit the Mini Bloglins keshi from back in the day. Dang, if only they'd bring those back!

Bios: Gutcruncher

"Conquest of the Autobots begins with control of the sky!"

Function: Air-to-Ground Support

Gutcruncher shares the Decepticon's dream of total defeat of the Autobots, but for his own reasons. He has a contract with Megatron to trade their remains to the Junkions and other interplanetary spare parts dealers for vast quantities of energon cubes. This cold, calculating capitalist views all opponents as potential profit. He pilots the space-faring Stratotronic Jet, which has a maximum speed of 40,000 mph and is armed with fusion bombs, two cruise missiles, particle beam, infrared laser guns and more. It converts into a devastating battle station with missile launcher and fusion blaster connon. Also includes pilotless surveillance drone and one-man battle tank.

I don't know who Ziggy and Zon is but...

According to a Google search, Ziggy and Zon's World was a store that closed in 1997 and apparently was regarded as wacky. I don't know how wacky it actually was, but with a name like Ziggy and Zon... whoa. It looks like a pretty charming little store. All my local stores are big chains, well, except for that weird gas station/grocery store/butcher/U-Haul/restaurant place a few miles away. But I don't go there, smells like farts. Ziggy and Zon's looks like the kind of place that holds onto everything until it sells, meaning you'd probably find some really cool old costumes. The make-up kits are probably expired and cost more than they do at Walmart, but dude Paas WWF kits! Thinking about it, that local store I mentioned may have them too, and they make keys!

E Ticket EVA

If there's one thing that makes me jealous of others, it's when they visit themed attractions. Specifically those lucky folks in Japan that seemingly has a non-stop supply of them. Not just at theme parks either. Oddball parks and shopping centers, arcades, or even pop up shops. Here in America, they're at bigger theme parks or special appearances for a new movie. Maybe Spirit Halloween fits the bill a little. From an outside perspective, there's quite a bit in Japan and if I lived there, I'd visit them up often. I love that sort of thing. Above is the Neon Genesis Evangelion attraction at Toei Kyoto Studio Park. A park I'd like to go to already (they have a great Kamen Rider and Super Sentai exhibit). This cool attraction offers a life size EVA Unit 00-1 with several activities a fan could enjoy. I'm not the most well versed Evangelion fan, but like the show and this looks like a lot of fun. I'd sure visit it if I could.

Meister der neuen Woche

It's a new week here on Planet Zone! I've got some fun posts in mind that I hope you all enjoy. I've still got my hands a little extra full, so there might be some shorter posts here and there. I didn't do much this weekend, but I did watch the new Muppets Haunted Mansion (loved it) and picked up a Fright Features Slimer. Spooky fun! Thanks for supporting Zone Base and please share with your friends!

A Generic Halloween

Bobby Generic is an adorable little kid with an amazing imagination. He also has one cool uncle who babysits Bobby on Halloween night. The two are giving out candy to trick or treaters when they decide to make a haunted house. Honestly, it looks kinda amazing what they come up with. Bobby's World was a pretty great show that's slowly getting swept under the rug by time. Today's post isn't weird or cursed, just me appreciating something and wanting to show you all it. Happy Halloween gang.

What if Season 6?

This little clip has been making the rounds this week. It's a intro to a season 6 of The Transformers that never happened. The clip's creator used animation from toy commercials that were from the time the season would have happened. Powermasters, Pretenders and Micromasters, to be exact. This would have been a counterpart to Masterforce theoretically. Maybe even Victory and Zone. I've wondered before "what if" DiC took over the Transformers cartoons like they did with GI JOE? It would have been different than what we were used to, but different doesn't scare me. I'm basically using this currently popular on social media clip to once again say how much I would have loved it if DiC would have took over. Everyone take a shot.

Shout at Mtv

Long before Motley Crue was the official band of mid life crises they were known for worshiping the devil. This was also in that long fabled time when Mtv played music videos. Which at this point we're all tired of hearing about. Back in those draconian days Mtv had a lot of fun during the holidays. Since they had a pseudo satanic band ready to do anything, why not offer them as a prize for a Halloween contest? This old commercial of theirs shows off the spooky shindig complete with scary monsters and super cocaine freaks. I'm pretty some people didn't made it out alive.

Programming Note: Pressed for Time

Just a little heads up, I'm gonna be a stretched thin for a few days, so some of the posts might be sparse. I'll be posting, but just maybe more things like bios and stuff than full fledged posts. Everything's fine and Halloween won't suffer for it. Just I'm a sometimes more busy adult than other times. It's just for a few days, pinky swear.

Michael Myers wants you to have a Safe and Fun Halloween

If there's one person who want's you to have fun but be safe, it's Michael Myers. Halloween is his day and he'd hate for you to ruin it by tripping on the sidewalk, getting ran over, or eating poisoned candy. Take it from him, Halloween can be fun. But nothing's better than having fun, safely.

Beastly Sled of War

It's been far too long since I've talked about Eternia Minis. This set is Beastman with the War Sled, which is part of the Revelation series. Like Fisto, Beastman is available carded but has some deco differences here. It's small, but just enough to make it different. Also like his case mate, Beastman doesn't come with his whip weapon. It's too bad as he'll have both hands on the handlebars. Let's get down to the star of the show here.

THE WAR SLED IS AWESOME. Normally the War Sled is a slight variation of the Sky Sled used by the Evil Warriors. A little different looking but really it's the same thing. Not anymore! Now a cobra headed, bat winged air scooter of doom! Cast in a glittery purple with awesome green highlight and look at the decals! Holy shit this is a damn fine vehicle for villainy. It's just so freaking cool looking! I'd be super happy with multiple releases of this thing in different colors. Just look at that thing!

There's a Scrabble Halloween Special and it's the Worst Fucking Thing You've Ever Seen

The Scrabble People was a "fun" way to help children learn to read by pairing the alphabet with people by ways of a letter on their shirt. That kid with an 'A' shirt? Well, he's an asshole! What better way to combine a classic board game with something...  In this 'delightful' Halloween special, Mr. Scrabble and some kids are picking out a pumpkin when they fall inside a giant one. Inside this giant pumpkin is Nonsense, a land where nothing makes sense. Why doesn't it make sense? Well, they're not aloud to spell words or read them! Why would they not be allowed to do such a basic thing? Because the ruler of this land doesn't want the people to learn more than him and call him stupid. No really! Don't you worry, Mr. Scrabble and the kids save the day by fat shaming the bad guys daughter.

How many point's do I get for saying this movie is a piece of shit?

Bios: Ramjet

"Accept your fate and welcome the glorious chaos that awaits."

The being originally known as Ramjet has one goal and one goal only; to enact his master's every whim and desire. For millions of years he executed the Chaos Bringer's commands without question or fail. Traversing dimensions and realities with the simplest gesture; Ramjet's power was near limitless. With the Unicron singularity destroyed by the actions of Nexus Prime, Ramjet's sole reason for existence, securing Unicron's presence across all parts of the multiverse, is no more.

With his dimension hopping abilities and raw power also severely dampened by the effects of the Terminus Blade and Star Saber, Ramjet once again relies on his supersonic jet mode for attack and pursuit missions. He has a top speed of Mach 4. Emits powerful blasts from his body. Channels Unicron's dark energy through two Antrodemonus Swords hidden within his wings. Can launch MX-00 caliber missiles capable of collapsing a Transformers' spark upon direct impact. Due to the torturous pain he endured and his undying devotion to his master, Ramjet often suffers from fits of insanity.

Monday of the New Week

It's Monday and you know what that means, it's a new week here on Planet Zone! Honestly, I didn't do much this weekend. Watched a bunch of Halloween stuff on Disney Plus. Decorated the yard a little more, was going to put up some lights but it started raining. Guessing I'll do that next weekend then. Found the reissue BW Megatron at Walmart. Bought the reissue BW Megatron at Walmart. Saw the new 'The Haunted Museum' show on Discovery +, that's a pretty good anthology horror show.

A lot of the paranormal shows on Discovery + are like that, anthology horror shows based on allegedly true events. I'm not saying I 100% believe them, but I'm 100% entertained. This one was much better produced than the others, probably due to Eli Roth's involvement. It's based on items from Zak Bagans paranormal museum. The show starts with him talking about and item and the show tells a story about it. The end has text telling how it ended up in the museum.

It's pretty good. I like most of the shows on the service and channel already, but it's a higher quality production than normal. Ghostober is really good this year. I've got a fun week planned here on the site. Halloween is well underway and we're in the main event month. Thanks everyone for continuing to support my weird little site about robots and monsters. Don't forgot to share with your friends, that's all I ask!

Halloween: The Night Michael Landon Came Home

We've been celebrating Halloween since the beginning of August here on Planet Zone. As we're now officially in October, so is everyone else! We've only got one more month of pumpkin spice mayhem and we're gonna dig through the ditches and burn through the witches. I take pride in turning up the spooky sound tape a little louder each year and this year we're blowing the roof off the Spirit Halloween.

Highway to Heaven was a show starring Michael Landon as an angel sent back to Earth to save souls. Michael Landon was also born on Halloween and celebrated the spooky shit out of it. In this Halloween special edition, Johnathan's partner Mark gets in trouble with the devil. No seriously, he runs over a kid and gets tricked into selling his soul to save said kid's life. Michael enlists the aid of a con man whom he currently is trying to save from an eternity in Hell. Speaking of Hell, the Devil shows up and all Hell breaks loose. I would say it doesn't get any crazier than this... but it will later this month.

Shadow Panther, Best In The World

I'm looking forward to finding Kingdom Shadow Panther at my local stores. I've always liked the guy, it's a simple Cheetor repaint that just works. Part of my admiration for him comes from the way I got the original one. BotCon 2002 I was roaming the dealers room looking for some good deals. The dealers room was a lot more fun back then, more weird stuff, more of a community atmosphere. It really was a different world back then. You may not have known everyone, but you always felt you were part of something. I was looking around and a dealer had the Beast Wars Metals Jaguar X-9 (Beast Wars Ravage) figure for a really good price. I'm blanking a little now on the number, but it was a steal. I realized I only had about $20 bucks on me and needed to use the ATM machine.

These days almost every dealer has one of those card readers for mobile devices or a way to process your card. Not so much back then, it was a cash only business. This usually meant the ATM's in the convention centers were always out of cash and you'd have to find an nearby one at a moments notice. Which is what happened and I found myself running to the adjacent parking lot machine. By the time I came back, all the X-9's the dealer had were gone and noticeably other dealers now had a X-9 for sale. Also noticeably marked up. While I was there in front of the dealer who originally was selling X-9 for a non-predatory price, I saw he had Shadow Panther really cheap. In box, unopened, super cheap. I had been wanting one and knew a sign from the universe when I see one.
