Just the Worst

Before Harry Potter, "The Worst Witch" offered magic users a school to learn spells. I knew it as a special that would air every October on cable pretty often—HBO, Disney Channel, maybe TBS… it was on practically all month, and it was fun as crap while it was at it.

The special features the titular worst witch, Mildred Hubble, being an underdog at Witch School. Halloween comes, and the Grand Wizard is coming to visit for the holiday celebrations, and all hell breaks loose.

He performs probably one of the worst songs ever, sounding like he was making it up on the spot, all while in a montage straight out of a NyQuil-induced nightmare.

In the end, Mildred comes out on top and is rewarded with questionable time with the Grand Wizard as a prize. Mildred… maybe consider a career in HVAC repair instead?

Happy Halloween Zone Base Readers!

It's Halloween, Happy Halloween! Get out your costumes and make sure you have a glow stick for safety! Me? I'm looking forward to trick or treating the kids and watching some spooky shows. I hope every one has a great holiday. Of course this means the last of the Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem for 2023. As happy as I am to celebrate the holiday with all of you, it is a bit sad to see it come to an end again. However you know the spooky stuff will return next year for Halfway to Halloween in spring, Code Orange fun in summer, and the big party when Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem returns in the fall. In the meantime, the site will return to regular programming... you know the stuff in between all the Halloween stuff? Thank you for celebrating Halloween with me again this year. Thanks for supporting Zone Base, and please share with your friends!

It's Halloween on Planet Zone!

Today is August 1st and you know what that means? It's officially Halloween season on Zone Base! For the next 3 months we're all going to celebrate our favorite time of the year! Don't like Halloween? Well, that's weird. However, don't worry, regular site content will still continue. Just now with an unhealthy dose of Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem! It's my favorite time of the year and I'm so happy you've all come to celebrate it with me!

I've got a bunch of cool stuff to talk about this year and as usual some past favorites will be making a return. The playlist is back (even though i stuck it up early this year) and can be found on that left side bar (click the lines up top to the left if you don't see it). Thank you all for your continued support of Zone Base. Please share with your friends and even your enemies. Happy Halloween 2022 everybody, we're all going trick or treating for the next 3 months! Let's meet up and swap candy later.

Happy Halloween from Zone Base

This Halloween season sure did fly by a lot faster than I expected. It seems just like yesterday I was welcoming you to another spooky season here on Planet Zone. I had a lot of fun regardless and am happy to have spent another with all of you. I'm looking forward to trick or treaters and a fun Halloween night.

I'll be uploading pictures to my Instagram and TikTok if you want to check it out. Admittedly my TikTok hasn't been updated much, but I do have plans. You'll see. Thanks everyone for supporting Zone Base and celebrating another Halloween season with me. Happy Halloween 🎃
