Wild King and Cyberworld are on Rob’s mind as he prepares for ToyLanta. The news of upcoming new M.A.S.K toys have brought up memories of other toy lines similar to M.A.S.K… and that sounds like a great idea for a topic on this month's episode of Transform Squadron.

It's Monday, but not just any Monday, it's the Monday of Halloweek! The big day is Thursday and we're going to end Halloween 2024 with a big bang! Please look forward to pure Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem this week! I'll be sad to see the holiday end, so I've got to really get the most out of it in these few days. How was your weekend Zone Base readers? The Mrs and I did quite a bit of house cleaning in between enjoying spooky season fun. The Mrs made one great spaghetti dinner Sunday followed by an amazing cherry cheese dump cake. She's a hell of a cook and I'm lucky to have her! My life is awesome.
I got some cool things this weekend. Though now that the holidays are around the corner, that will be slowing down a little as my focus will be on others. I picked up Transformers Legacy United Animated Motormaster. I missed out on the original BotCon toy, so this is a nice addition. I also bought and downloaded Retrorealms: Halloween for my Switch. It's a fun action platformer starring Michael Myers. There's more Retrorealms games to get and they link up. Initially I was only interested in the Halloween one... but might get more now that I've dipped my toes in the water.
Of course more Astro Bot was played. I am fully stretching it out now, and thankfully more speed run levels have been added. Game of the year. Also in exciting news, Transformers Wild King appears to be on the way and I am EXTREMELY EXCITED FOR IT. I'll be talking about it on the newest Transform Squadron episode coming soon. I hope you'll enjoy it, it'll be the last Halloween episode of the year and boy do we have a fun topic. Well, I've got to get to work recording that and getting my week started. Monday has risen from it's grave and the curse of another work week begins. Luckily you have a fun week of Zone Base ahead of you! I got a lot of rest this weekend when I wasn't playing Astro Bot. The Mrs made a spaghetti dinner Sunday night and a Saturday shopping trip was had with my Mom riding along! As for toys, I picked up some neat Halloween 2 vinyl figures at Five Below and Turtles of Grayskull Michaelangelo at Target. Walmart finally had at least one Transformers Star Raiders collection toy, so now I have Ferak! So happy, I love his deco. I was going to do a BeastBox order, but fell asleep watching Universal Studios Japan Halloween videos. So, guess that'll be some BeastBoxes ordered this week! Speaking of Halloween, I hope you all are enjoying the spooky season here on the site. I'll hopefully have a new episode of Transform Squadron ready soon! Welcome to another week on Zone Base! I had a pretty good weekend for the most part. My Origins Wheeljack came in Friday. I ordered one mid week and a later stop by Target proved that to be a good idea. They still haven't gotten one! Hopefully the upcoming Legacy United 4 pack will be easier to get. I need that Squeezeplay! Also Friday, the Mrs picked up a Legacy Silverbolt for me! Woo! Beast Wars is life! Saturday while out shopping with the Mrs I picked up Studio Series Sunstreaker and Gnaw! I just realized I already had the figure from the 2021 release, but I guess I got another. You can never have too many Sharkticons! I also picked up some Star Wars Doorables... because I'm hooked. Also stopped by Michaels to look at the Nevermore Collection. Halfway to Halloween is is coming up and this little aisle of gothy decor is just the thing to help ring it in! My local store didn't have it all up, but I enjoyed looking at what they had. Sunday was spent at home and enjoying some homemade pizza for dinner and lots of playing Mighty Doom. Well, I've got a busy day full of chores and recording the newest episode of Transform Squadron in score for me. Hopefully I'll have it up this week. It's the start of a new week here on Zone Base, but not just any week... it's a holiday week! Thanksgiving is here and with it is my regular long holiday break. I'm pretty happy about it as I could really use the mini vacation. I do have a post coming, but regular posting will resume next week. Thanks for understanding. However this is normally the "What I did this weekend" post of the week and let me tell you about this weekend I had. Well, for one... it was a pretty short one. Being that I work overnight and there's a holiday this week, I'm working Sunday night to offset the short work week. But the amount of weekend I had was pretty good!
The Mrs and I normally have our groceries delivered, but picked them out in person instead while doing out weekly shopping. That's something I rarely do anymore, so it's kinda fun. Extra food for our Thanksgiving dinner was picked out and man I'm looking forward to it! We also went to Target and while there I picked up Detritus and Core Class Thundercracker from Legacy: Evolution. I'm starting to feel like that Buzzworthy Bumblebee Troop Builder set is an urban legend. Hopefully I can find Beast Battlemaster Air Razor soon. Monday has reared it's ugly head once again, I have no jokes... ugh. Fortunately it's also the start of a new week here on Planet Zone! I enjoyed my weekend, we did some shopping and decorated the inside of our house for Christmas. I'll be waiting for Thanksgiving break to hang some lights up on the outside of the house, but the tree sure is pretty in the living room. With Christmas coming up, I'm trying to limit purchases for myself to smaller items like blind boxes. So it was a good time to grab 2 Micro Galaxy Squadron boxes while out. There's something just so perfect about those little sets.
I'm planning on recording a new Transform Squadron this week. It's a little soon after the last episode, but the holidays do create a little havoc in my schedule. I'm sure you all will understand holiday programming interruptions in the next few weeks. I'm sure many of you will also be busy enjoying the holidays as well. It's Monday yet again, but Zone Base is here to help you get through another week! My weekend was good and slightly busy. We enjoyed a good bit of spooky stuff, getting in as much Halloween as we can before it's all over. Saturday, the Mrs made low sodium tacos for me! Sunday, Mom treated us to Olive Garden! We did a little early Christmas shopping as well while doing weekly shopping. I was able to get Beast Weaponizer Wheeljack and Arcee as well as Earthspark Deluxe Grimlock while out. I still haven't found the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Troop Builder box set yet, but I didn't leave empy handed either.

Oh crap, it's Monday. Thanks for coming back for another week here on Planet Zone. I had a pretty great weekend that I wish would have lasted longer. Saturday was a busy day that pretty much saw me get no rest, a lot done, and even family dinner at Olive Garden. While the Mrs's car was at the garage for some minor work, we went to Barnes and Nobles and Spirit Halloween. I got a cool book on Japanese folklore and black magic. It has a great guide on yokai and even a directory of spells and rituals. Spirit was fun, but disappointing. Our local one for the past 2 years has been opening up later in smaller locations with less stock. I miss the grander stores with impressive displays and mini walk throughs. The Mrs did pick me up a cool vintage style vampire mask from a visit to the store earlier in the week. I love those.
I picked up Trashmaster and a Micro Galaxy Squadron blind box from Target. Haven't gotten all the Junkions yet unfortunately, but happy for the ones I find. Later a trip to Walmart resulted in the last two Toxitron Collection Transformers I needed! The set is complete!!! Now to focus on the remaining Beast Alliance toys that may be harder to find as the movie line winds down. I hope to pick up Studio Series Ultra Magnus soon. I don't have a Paetron, so one didn't get pre-ordered. Not to be outdone, my Mom suprised me with a MOTU Origins Snout Spout! It was a good weekend for toys!
I spent a lot of time watching Universal Monsters movies Sunday and playing F-Zero 99. Playing F-Zero 99, not winning. That game is pure chaos. Earlier Sunday, I took the Mrs to Five Below for a Squishmallow event. This time it was new Halloween themed ones. The first store we went to hadn't had their stock, which was disappointing. That store usually goes fully into the events and even has their own meet and greets. So we went to the next one that had their crap together! She got her plushes and I finally found the Authentics Optimus Primal!
Oddly enough there was a cosplayer dessed as Alucard from Hellsing walking around. She was with another anime fan type, so I'm assuming there was a nearby event. The past week Ive seen a few of the leather jacket and sunglasses while wearing those fast food uniform black pants type of anime fan. Those seem to be an evergreen type of fan here in the states... am I the only one who's notices? Feels like a lifetime of seeing them grazing in the wild.
I had extended to watch the new TMNT movie this weekend, but didn't work it in. After this months Transform Squadron gets recorded today, I might.
