Operation: New Week

Monday is attacking again signaling the beginning of a new week. Fortunately for you, Zone Base is here to defend you from click bait sites that will threaten your idle time! I hope you all had a great weekend, mine as pretty good. The Mrs and I went to Costco for Halloween candy.  I hope our trick or treaters are ready for the 10lbs of candy we bought! I always love a trip to Costco just for the food court, that's some seriously good pizza. We cleaned our garage and enjoyed an Olive Garden dinner Sunday with my Mom. I spent some hours with Astro Bot and am fully admitting to stretching out my time with it. I'm super close to beating it, but don't want to be finished with it. I'll probably still be playing it afterwards in hopes of reaching 100%. Of course I should revisit Astro Bot's Playroom and 100% it too. I love that little guy!

I got some cool toys too! Picked up some of the new blind box Godzilla figures by Funko. They have a fun cute sculpt that really gives them a fun charm. I got Ghidorah and the colored Godzilla (b&w is harder to find). Bandai sofubi Godzilla figures are being sold in the U.S again now that Playmates is seemingly going in a full Monsterverse action figure direction and I'm all for it. I'll take both! Sadly, Target hadn't gotten any in stock as of this weekend. I also ordered Star Raiders collection Filch. I will not be denied my Transformers Star Raiders dammit! Not to be left out, I picked up a Turtles of Grayskull Stealth Ninja Leonardo. I just need April O'Neil and Man at Arms to complete the series until the next wave. We're in the last days of Halloween and time to turn Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem up to 11 (million). I'll be sad to see spooky season ending, but New Future is on the way! Thank you all for reading Zone Base. I've got a fun week planned for you all, please look forward to it. Don't forget to share with your friends!

New Week Rock- 7/22/24

Thanks for coming back for another week here on Planet Zone! I've had a great weekend and hope you did too! I watched Gobots, Transformers, Halloween videos, and Cobra Kai episodes this weekend while trying to stay out of the heat. Speaking of Halloween, the Mrs and I are about to head out to Bed Bath and Bodyworks for the start of their Halloween season. As far as toys go, my Mom surprised me with a TMNT/Universal Monsters Casey Jones. That was out of left field for sure! I picked up Ghidorah from Playmates Monsterverse figures (battle damage, woo!), and ordered the new Transformers multipack from Target Sunday. Really looking forward to that Squeezeplay. Well, I've got spooky adventures in store and hope you all have a great week. Thanks for continuing to read Zone Base. There's a fun week of robots, monsters, and misadventure waiting for you. Please share the site with your friends and Mutual High Fives everyone!

Robo New Week Machine

It's Monday yet again, but Zone Base is here to help you get through another week! My weekend was good and slightly busy. We enjoyed a good bit of spooky stuff, getting in as much Halloween as we can before it's all over. Saturday,  the Mrs made low sodium tacos for me! Sunday, Mom treated us to Olive Garden! We did a little early Christmas shopping as well while doing weekly shopping. I was able to get Beast Weaponizer Wheeljack and Arcee as well as Earthspark Deluxe Grimlock while out. I still haven't found the Buzzworthy Bumblebee Troop Builder box set yet, but I didn't leave empy handed either.

Thank you for coming back for another week here on Planet Zone. Halloween is slowly coming to a close, but we've got another week of Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem! I've got some fun content coming your way and if you're a podcast fan, I'll be recording the newest Transform Squadron today! If you like what I'm doing, please share it with your friends!

Change into Monday

The evil Monday has reared it's head once again, forcing the good people of weekend to retreat into their caves. Fortunately the forces of Zone Base are here to help you until the end of this dreaded work week. I didn't do much this weekend and really don't mind that at all. Plenty of rest was had and dang that was great. While the weekly trips to Target and Walmart didn't provide any new Toxitron collection Transformers or any new Transformers in general, I did score 2 Micro Galaxy Squadron blind boxes from series 3. Really happy to see the line continuing as I thought it was dying out. I hardly see anything after the initial toys here. Hooray for Inch Men!

Sunday was spent with much playing of The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Ages on my Nintendo Switch and some healthy napping. It was a good day. Later on, Mom came over for Sunday dinner. She brought a salad and some fruit while the Mrs cooked a Chef Boyardee pizza. It's such a good meal when prepared right and the Mrs always does. Well, September is starting and we're firmly into the Halloween season. I can see that you're all enjoying the Pumpkin Spiced Mayhem here on the site. There's two more months of madness and I'm practically falling over myself with love for the spooky stuff making its way onto store shelves. Code Orange is ending as the proper Spooky Season begins and its so much fun to see Walmart, Target, and the other stores stock up with masks and make up kits.

It's Monday. I suppose it's time to finish my tube of Glo-Gurt and get the week started. Thank you for continuing to support Zone Base. I'm very appreciative of all the new readers that have been coming since summer. It's just a podunk little fan blog, but it's nice to see all of you enjoying it. If you could, please share it with your friends and let's all try to have a great week.

It's Monday, do a Barrel Roll

It's Monday gang, and that means a new week here on Planet Zone! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good. Did some shopping, watched some TV, played some video games. Good times. As far as new toys go, I didn't buy much. Found new Tacticons! Hashtag and Arcee! Target also had a bunch of Bumblebees, so I'm assuming he was their casemate. I really like these silly little bots, so I was happy with the find. I also finally picked up Warrior class Skywarp from Earthspark. She's been on the backburner since I've already got the mold a few times. Really like her colors though, so she was eventually getting purchased. I also picked up a book of older Japanese ghost stories and some cute monster book marks. Not to mention some great Star Wars back to school items. I may not be a student, but prefer cool stationary for my needs. I also bought a plush SEGA Genesis. They made it, and I own it.

We did some Code Orange work. Many places that usually start early haven't really gotten into grove yet in our area. That's to be expected. It's dependent on summer stuff selling out first and some places are faster than others. At Home did have some stuff. We got a skeleton door mat and an adorable spider. They haven't stocked skeletons yet and my tradition of buying a $1 plastic skeleton hasn't been fulfilled yet. This year they have colored ones. That's important. I also buy a few skeleton animals. From what I've seen, there's a raptor one that I'll definitely be getting. At Home also has some cute monster characters this year. There's a vampire with candy corn fangs and a witch riding a lollipop that I'll be getting when stocked. So far the more vintage Halloween decor of the past few years looks to have been replaced with a rustic style. Oh well, trends end and I liked the vintage stuff. The rustic style is very traditional and fitting, so I'm not complaining.

Thanks to all of you for reading Zone Base. Clearly Beast Summer has been a success and it's due to all you awesome people. I plan to record a new episode of Transform Squadron today. Hopefully it will be out this week for your listening pleasure. Please, if you could, please share posts with your friends. We're a grass roots site here at Zone Base and I live enjoying my hobbies with others. Now let's get this new week started!

We don't need another Monday

It's Monday... dammit. Oh well, at least next week is Memorial Day and a welcome 3 day weekend. I hope everyone had a great weekend and has a good week ahead of them. I did some shopping this weekend and finally saw Guardians of the Galaxy 3. Trips to Costco, Walmart, and Target were had. I got Rise of the Beasts mainline Rhinox and Beast Changer Mirage as well as Studio Series core class Ironhide. Not to mention a  Great Posing Figure Demon Slayer gatchapon blind bag (Inosuke!). Thanks everyone for reading Zone Base. I've got a fun week planned and hopefully a new Transform Squadron coming soon! Right now... it's time to get woken up. I'm... ah... still sleepy.

Don't let this week be a Shocker

Another weekend has passed heralding the arrival of a new week here on Planet Zone! I had a great weekend. My birthday was last week, so Saturday the Mrs showered me with gifts and we enjoyed pizza with ice cream and cake. It was a good time. I got plenty of Transformers and BeastBox toys. Not only that but some Super Mario, Masters of the Universe, and even Dungeons and Dragons toys to boot! I would list them all here, but that's a little tacky. I don't ask for money and that immediately follows such a thing. Though I'm sure a picture will be posted on my social meadia soon enough.

I watched Halloween cartoons all night before enjoying Sunday morning doing some shopping. We went to Five Below for a Squishmallow event. Which was a bust as the big drop didn't go as planned to the disappointment of those in attendance. We decided to visit another store for greater success. Next weekend is Easter and the Mrs has an Easter egg hunt planned for me. That sounds fun, I wonder how that's going to go. I've got to put together her basket soon. Though we'll do a little last minute shopping Saturday, so I'm sure I'll add to hers then as well. That's next weekend though, so we should get this week started off! I have some fun posts for you all. Thank you for reading Zone Base. If you like what I do, please share posts with your friends. I'd hope they'd enjoy it too!

Burning New Week

A new week is here, and with it... I dunno. I had a pretty good weekend. The weather has been pretty nice latley so I took the opportunity to grill out Sunday. I'm not sure if an early spring is setting in this year, but I'll enjoy a relaxing afternoon around the grill cooking some good food. Did some shopping Saturday, resulting in a new pair of Hey Dudes. I've always been a sneaker guy, but these little shoes might have me finally changing my ways. The Mrs got me a great pair for Christmas and now we're at two pair. The times are changing I guess.

As far as toys go, I got some fun stuff. A trip by the Dollar Tree resulted in finally finding some new Final Faction figures. I got 4 of the new Venom series Kharn toys. Just need 2 more and to find the Elite series. A stop by TJ Maxx provided a Lightyear Hyperspeed series buggy set. I'd been hoping to find those since seeing other Inchman posts on Instagram using them. Walmart didn't have anything I've been looking for, so I took the occasion to order some Beastbox. Got the new rabbit set (just in time for Easter) and the Godzilla flavored SubZero figure. My Mom came by Sunday for the cook out and gifted me the new Talon Fighter (Netflix CGI He-Man) and a Bakugan set she found on clearance.

There's a new episode of Transform Squadron avaliable for your listening pleasure. I hope it helps you get this week going. I've got some fun stuff planned for you all this week as usual. Thank you for continuing to support Zone Base. It may be just a podunk little fan blog, but it's mine and I appreciate you all reading. Please don't forget to share with your friends. I don't ask much. No ads or hand outs required, but it'd be great for more people to enjoy this fun stuff with me.

Hot New Week Scamble!

It's Monday and you know what that means! It's a new week here on Planet Zone! Speaking of a new week... where the hell did the weekend go? Friday morning I went to Target for the new Pokémon game for the Mrs. While there I found Kingdom Slammer and Pipes. The Toei Spider-Man Hot Wheel was also there. Been looking for that one. Still no Studio Series Soundwave. That's now autofilling itself out.

Saturday was spent mostly in bed until the afternoon when the Mrs and I went to Five Below. There I found a neat Stranger Things field guide and grabbed a Siege Firedrive to give Studio Series Hot Rod. The Mrs pointed out neat plush Mario and Luigi bag clips that I also picked up. A bottle of Ramune was also bought as I've been craving it lately. We then took my mother grocery shopping before ordering food and watching this weeks Mandelorian and 1000 lbs Sisters.

Sunday was mostly spent playing Demon Slayer on my PS4 while the Mrs played that new Pokémon game. For dinner Mom came over and the Mrs made low sodium tacos! I helped set up Mom's new Chromebook we had gotten her for Christmas (she apparently hadn't herself yet).

The weekend's over though and time to enjoy my Monday before heading into work tonight. Did you all enjoy the new episode of Transform Squadron? I'd been planning to do it since December. Things happened though keeping recording it delayed a little. I planned on January, just it ended up being a little late. I've got a fun week in mind for you all. Thanks to each and every one of you for continuing to support Zone Base. Don't forget to share with your friends!

Have a Magic New Week

It's Monday and you know what that means! It's a new week here on Planet Zone! This past weekend was pretty good. It was the Mrs's birthday and I took her out shopping to celebrate it. While out I picked up a Pop Warduke I'd been hoping to find. We also stopped by Rocket Fizz, a candy store, and while there I grabbed a giant bag of Pez. All unwrapped, all too perfect. Not to mention some other wonderful candy was bought.

I also grabbed the new Battle Cat from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe as well as the Core Class Snake Eyes. Still no luck on Studio Series Soundwave which might just be my white whale. I also got a pack of pens for work, I know you're excited about that. In the upcoming weeks my department at work will be moving into a new office space and I'm excited. Brand new cubicle!

I've got a fun week in mind. I know Zone Base isn't some big site, but the fact that you all continue to support it is really flattering. Thank you so much for reading my nonsense! Please don't forget to share with your friends! Y'all sure it's not Halloween yet? No... well...

Assault on New Week

It's the beginning of a new week here on Planet Zone and honestly I'm a little sleepy. It was a good weekend full of winter weather. A quick run for a few things Saturday didn't result in a Soundwave, that thing is going to be the bane of my existence. I did pick up a Micro Action Red Ranger, core GIJOE Storm Shadow, and He-Man from the newer MOTU Netflix series.

Watching the Unsolved Mysteries channel and playing Game Gear lead to some hilarity. It snowed all Sunday, which was spent playing with toys and watching paranormal TV. I stayed up way too late watching Ultraman and slept late today. I've got a fun week in mind that I hope you all enjoy. I may be a little sleepy, but still thankful for you all supporting the site. Don't forget to share with your friends!

New Week - The Famicom

It's Monday and you know what that means? It's the start of a new week here on Planet Zone! I spent the weekend running around more than I'd like. However I did get some downtime and enjoyed some sushi while watching 1,000 lbs Sisters. Good food and bizarre TV. I failed to locate a Studio Series Soundwave. Those Bumblebee movie figures are impossible for me to ignore.

I did get a Cybertron Dead End and an Origins Buzz-Off. Not too shabby. Still looking for that Arrow ATV accessory set on the Final Faction front and some new Transformers that are just trickling out. I do plan on stocking up on more MOTU, especially new Eternia Minis. Not to mention some other GIJOE and Power Rangers figures. It never ends.

I've got a fun week in mind. I hope you all enjoy it. Thank you for continuing to support Zone Base and please share with your friends. It's hard to believe it's already Halloween time, but I guess it's January. I'm in a spooky mood as usual. It's as any a good time for something scary.

I'll turn this new week back into a human

It's the first Monday of the new year and you know what that means Zone Base readers. It's a new week here on Planet Zone! The first one of 2022! Dang! I hope you all had a good holiday weekend, I sure did. Between putting away Christmas decorations and some household chores, I found some time to relax and unwind. Played some video games, played with some toys, watched paranormal shows on Discovery Plus, and binged episodes of 1000 lb Sisters. Which might also qualify as a paranormal show.

Honestly, New Years isn't a big deal to the Mrs and myself. We generally just get something to eat and catch the countdown on TV come midnight. I had some great sushi from our local favorite Japanese restaurant. Not a bad way to ring in the new year if you ask me. Even wore my new Demon Slayer pants!

Over the holidays the toy backlog got a lot added to it. So you never know what toy based posts I'll do here. Something new, something I haven't opened yet, or something old I just wanted to talk about. Admittedly the posts can be a bit random here, but hey, I always say variety is the spice of life. You never know what I'll post about next, it might be a surprise! I've got a fun week in mind. Thanks for reading Zone Base and as always, please share with your friends!

Scramble New Configuration!

It's Monday and a new week here on Planet Zone! I hope you had a good Christmas weekend, I sure did! As we head towards New Years Day you may notice some changes around the site this week. That's been a long time coming. I hope you all like the new look. Of course the content will remain the same. Thank you for continuing to support Zone Base. As always don't forget to share with your friends!

New Week Loading...

It sure is Monday and that sure does mean the start of another new week here on Planet Zone! It's also the last few days before Christmas and that means a few hectic days. That being said, aside from this weeks Beast Saga post, there won't be any toy posts. I just don't forsee and spare time to dive into the backlog for a bit. However, I do have some other fun in mind, so stay tuned!

It was a good, but busy weekend. Saturday was spent doing the last of the Christmas shopping before the big day. There was a lot of running around and big crowds. I do enjoy shopping, but doing so much in a day can feel like a second job! Not to mention the strange events that took place in the parking lot of one shopping center. The entire area was covered in hundreds of turkey vultures. There was a very bad smell that coated the entire area. Clearly something was dead in the area and judging by the large amount of birds, a lot of it. Christmas is also a time for scary ghost stories and that certainly was one. Fortunately we got everything we needed unscathed before retiring for the evening with dinner from Longhorn Steakhouse (one of our favorites).

Sunday the wife's brother, father, her father's wife and grand daughter came over for our Christmas with them. The Mrs had prepared a bunch of snacks while they brought a sandwich tray. It was a fun dinner that included some sushi from the local Publix for me. I'm still on a low sodium diet while recovering, so I wanted to offset some of the food. I really love sushi from Publix, so no complaints from me. Gifts were exchanged and a good time was had. Afterwards, my mother came by for dinner and holiday special viewings. Actually, we've been watching Christmas specials all weekend.

It's Sunday night as I'm writing this and that means a few episodes of Beyond Belief before sleep. I've got a busy day tomorrow before work. Christmas can be hectic, but nothing beats how nice it is on Christmas Eve. All the stress is over and you can just bask in the joy. It's going to be a fun week here on the site. I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks for your continued support and please share with your friends!

Clean up and Slay the new Week

It's a new week here on Planet Zone and one week closer to Christmas! I don't know about you guy's, but Christmas time is a strange flavor of chaotic for me. Between the shopping and holiday gatherings while still working and living my normal life, it's a stressful yet fun time of the year. Though on Christmas Eve, there's a peaceful calm that's never replicated any other time of the year. I spent most of this weekend shopping for gifts as well as another Sunday Squishmallow event at Five Below for the wife (they're practically having one every weekend lately) before having Mom over for dinner that night. Sunday was my Mom's birthday and she turned 70!

We had a wonderful pot roast the Mrs cooked in the crock pot and some cake while watching various Muppets Christmas specials. Mom brought me a Mega Construx MOTU Skeletor head she had grabbed while out. It's the Fisto set, I already have it, but welcome the extra parts. Whenever Mom finds them in the clearance aisle she grabs them for me. I've got a couple extra figures by her doing that which provides excellent extra parts for future use.

While out I did manage to find some if the new Final Faction toys. I got all the new figures, just need the Arrow ATV and new accessorie sets to be caught up. I never thought something like a cheap dollar store toy line would be as popular as it is. Pretty cool to discover something like that on launch as well. Neat. Fun fact, the guy who designed the figures works for Super 7 now. I happen to think very highly of them and happy to see that merging of things I like. This year I missed out on the Lego  Star Wars Advent calendar.

Bummer, but in it's place the Mrs gave me a different kind of toy calendar. The Microbots Advent! These are small block kit robots that are a merge team. There's various sets available, mine is a dinosaur team vs a car team. It's a 12 day Advent Calendar, so I'm just now starting to feature it on my social media. That Instagram of mine is going to be a pretty neat place for a while! Well, I've got some household chores to do in between a little toy pics for this week on the site. Better get to work! Thanks each and every one of you for continuing to support Zone Base. It means so much to me that you continue to enjoy my madness. Put on a sweater (it's cold out there) and please share with your friends!

New Week Build

It's a new week here on Planet Zone! I had a pretty good weekend. Helped my Mom put up her Christmas decorations. Putting lights up outside is so fun I do it at two different places! The Mrs surprised me with a super neat Advent Calendar that I'm looking forward to working through. Speaking of the Mrs, we went to Five Below Sunday for a Squishmallow event. There wasn't much there she didn't already have, but we still got a few. I grabbed a Treasure X Monsters while I was there. I haven't had time to open it, but you can be sure it's awesome. I've got a fun week in mind here on the site. Thank you for your continued support and please share with your friends!

The Genesis of a New Week at Christmas

It's a new week and the start of the Christmas season here on Planet Zone! It's also back to a normal work week after the long holiday break. I've always seen the Thanksgiving break as a mid- year vacation and honestly this one was a pretty good one. Between the holiday shopping, taking in the Christmas sights, and some quality time at home. I enjoyed the holiday a lot. Now that it's Christmas time I'm also under the official 'don't buy anything until after Christmas' order. So for toy posts during the next month, we're going through the back log from the time I was getting sick to just too busy to open. There's quite a bit. My Draculus did come in Sunday, so happy to finally have him! Also now that it's Christmas time, we're going to celebrate the holiday here on Zone Base! It's not the same as Halloween time, but it's going to get pretty weird here on the site over the next few weeks. Between weird, cursed, and charming (I do like the holiday you know) we're going to have a good time with Saint Nick. He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows if you've been bad or good. So share with your friends for goodness sake!

Head On into a New Week

It's Monday and that means it's the start of a new week here on Planet Zone! It's Sunday night as I'm writing this at my desk here at work. Thanksgiving is one of the holidays that I work on Sunday night to compensate for the offset holiday week. Even though I only had Saturday off, I still had a pretty good weekend. The Mrs an I got our groceries in person instead of the normal delivery service. Being Thanksgiving we needed a lot and sometimes it's just better to pick things out. Saturday night we saw Ghostbusters Afterlife. Which you've already read about. I totally schedule posts to publish later than when I wrote them normally. YOLO.

After the movie, the Mrs wanted to stop by Target for something and I was hoping to find a Winston with Slimer. I totally failed on that but did get a MOTU Origins Faker. Score. It's going to be a shorter week, I could really use the mini vacation the holiday will give me. However that doesn't mean it won't be a fun week here, I've got one of those in mind. I'm thankful for all of you continuing to read and support my weird little site. Please share with your friends and pass the cranberry sauce!

We need New Week

It's Monday and you know what that means! It's a new week here on Planet Zone! Also, the last normal week on the site for awhile. Next week is Thanksgiving, and it'll be a weird week offset by the holiday. Then starting soon after will be Zone Base's annual Christmas Chaos! We'll be celebrating Christmas together here on the site all December. It doesn't matter if you've been naughty or nice, but a good sense of humor helps.

This past weekend was pretty good. The Mrs surprised me with a MOTU Origins Merman before I left for work Friday. Not just any Merman, but the Lords of Power version. Super cool! The following Saturday we made a visit to Walmart which rewarded me with Kingdom Soundwave! Not just that, but we bought our tickets to Ghostbusters Afterlife this coming weekend. The rest of the weekend was spent decorating our house for Christmas. What? We can love more than one holiday. I need to grab a few more lights for the bushes outside!

I've got a fun week in mind for the site. Thanks to each and every one of you for continuing to support Zone Base. As always, share with your friends!
