Monday Burst

It's the start of an new week of robots, monsters, and misadventure here on Zone Base. I hope you all had a great weekend, mine was pretty good... and went by way too fast. The Mrs and I did our weekend shopping and even checked out some early Halloween stock in our local At Home and Cracker Barrel. We got some great spooky stuff and had a lot of fun. 

Ealier in the week my Godzilla Megatron came in and I didn't expect my happiness to be that high. I knew I had it on the way and that it was real. But actually holding it in my hand... wow. I'm not sure when the MechaGodzilla Optimus Prime will ship, I guess it's coming later as it doesn't look like anyone has gotten theirs yet either. Speaking of Godzilla, the Mrs picked me up some fun Godzilla stuff while on a shopping trip with her friend. She got me a bag full of Godzilla blind boxes and bags along with some Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Stranger Things, and Shin-Chan stuff. That was super nice of her while they were in Popmart heaven.

My local stores are still pretty barren. I've still not gotten the rest of the Turtles of Grayskull figures and that's causing me some distress. I really want to complete the line and feel so close to my goal. Not to mention,  not a single new Transformer in some time. I haven't gotten the Studio Series B-127 yet... and that's all they seem to have other than leftover TF One stock. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't anticipating Cyberworld so much. I really can't wait to get my hands on those! Considering the show is premiering July 12th, I'm hoping they'll be on shelves soon. I did order a case of Blokees. I sure do love them... I just wish they were easier to get!

July the 4th is Friday and I'm gearing up for the holiday weekend. It's going to be a short work week and probably a hard one too. I'm looking forward to the break though and getting some rest. Who ordered the New Week Combo?

Welcome back to Planet Zone after that long holiday break! It's not only a new week, but a whole new year! Thank you all for returning for more robots, monsters, and misadventure! I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I sure did and got a bunch of new toys, movies, video games, and clothes (I use them too yanno). While I don't plan to list everything here, plenty of the toys will be making appearances on the site. 2025 looks like it's going to be one hell of a year, but here on Zone Base, it's going to be another great one. Speaking of, I've got to get working on stuff for the site. I know it's been a weird past two weeks with the holidays throwing things off schedule, but we'll be back to regular posting this week. It might be a new year, but this is the same old school Zone Base. Thank you for reading and please share with your friends!

Keizer Monday

Bloody hell, it's Monday again. Personally, I was having a great weekend too. Saturday the Mrs and I went Christmas shopping and Sunday we saw the newest Venom movie. Actually, I went Christmas shopping Friday morning too. The season is drawing near, meaning I'm going to have some extra busy days working in the holidays with my work life. I'm sure you will too, but no worries, Zone Base is here to keep you entertained with robots, monsters, and misadventure! This weekend will be extra hectic to prepare myself for next weeks Thanksgiving holiday break. Not just a hard work week, but some weekend work to offset the days off. No so great, but it will definitely make the time off sweeter. 

That being said, next week will have a little interruption in the normal posting schedule. There will be content, just not as much. I'm sure you all understand and hopefully you'll have a great holiday week too! I did get some great new stuff for myself while shopping. The Mrs picked up Studio Series Gamer Edition Ratchet for me last week, and I found Studio Series Gamer Edition Bumblebee and Monster Series Mechagodzilla while out Friday. Saturday was busy, but I did pick up Legacy Quake. 

Actually Saturday was kinda a little personal BotCon for me. I only got a few hours sleep. Bought toys, watched Transformers One and played Transformers Minecraft. I had some frozen pizza and fell asleep watching GIJOE.  Just like the old days! I'm actually planning to watch Gobots all day today and get a few weeks of toy pics for upcoming site posts. The holidays are wild times, and I'm sure to ring them in the only way I know how. By the skin of my teeth and keeping it gonzo as always. Thank you all for reading Zone Base. Goodbye Weekend, Hello Evangelion

Monday has risen from it's grave and the curse of another work week begins. Luckily you have a fun week of Zone Base ahead of you! I got a lot of rest this weekend when I wasn't playing Astro Bot. The Mrs made a spaghetti dinner Sunday night and a Saturday shopping trip was had with my Mom riding along! As for toys, I picked up some neat Halloween 2 vinyl figures at Five Below and Turtles of Grayskull Michaelangelo at Target. Walmart finally had at least one Transformers Star Raiders collection toy, so now I have Ferak! So happy, I love his deco. I was going to do a BeastBox order, but fell asleep watching Universal Studios Japan Halloween videos. So, guess that'll be some BeastBoxes ordered this week! Speaking of Halloween, I hope you all are enjoying the spooky season here on the site. I'll hopefully have a new episode of Transform Squadron ready soon! I have plans to record today, but have to run an errand first. I've got a slightly busy Monday ahead of me and I'm sure you do too! Thank you all for reading Zone Base. Weekly Update 8/8/22

 

It's Monday and you know what that means, it's a new week here on Planet Zone! This weekend flew by a lot faster than I'd liked, but that just means... well... I'd have liked the weekend to have lasted longer. Can't really put a positive spin on it, but I've still got a fun week ahead for you Zone Base readers! I did pick up the reissue Beast Wars Terrorsaur and Batman from the new Super Powers line. Really excited about it returning, that was a line I always loved. 

I hoped to grab that Transformers Rarites special comic, but could not find it. Poop. It wasn't really that eventful of a weekend, I spent a lot of it wishing I was at Power-Con. One day. I did play a lot of games and watch a bunch of paranormal TV. So, still had a good time. I hope you all enjoyed the first week of Halloween here on the site. We've got a lot of spooky fun coming over the season. Thank you all for celebrating it with me and supporting the site. Don't forget to share with your friends! I've got another dentist appointment today, so I'm trying my best to be upbeat. I uh... don't like the dentist. 

Dammit Shinji, Get N or Get Out

 

Evangelion seems like it'd make a perfect game. Big awesome robots in epic battles. It makes sense to put the series on every game console. Well, I'm assuming the game is the Eva units in awesome battles... hopefully not just Shinji crying while cicadas buzz in the background.

E Ticket EVA

If there's one thing that makes me jealous of others, it's when they visit themed attractions. Specifically those lucky folks in Japan that seemingly has a non-stop supply of them. Not just at theme parks either. Oddball parks and shopping centers, arcades, or even pop up shops. Here in America, they're at bigger theme parks or special appearances for a new movie. Maybe Spirit Halloween fits the bill a little. From an outside perspective, there's quite a bit in Japan and if I lived there, I'd visit them up often. I love that sort of thing. Above is the Neon Genesis Evangelion attraction at Toei Kyoto Studio Park. A park I'd like to go to already (they have a great Kamen Rider and Super Sentai exhibit). This cool attraction offers a life size EVA Unit 00-1 with several activities a fan could enjoy. I'm not the most well versed Evangelion fan, but like the show and this looks like a lot of fun. I'd sure visit it if I could.
