Terrified Tomatoes!

Burger Chef is a long dead fast food chain that was routinely haunted by Count Fangburger. A vampire who hungered for your blood... or a really good burger. This is another one of those times where I'm all about the production of the commercial here. Specifically Count Fangburger's classic cartoon villain portrayal. His voice, laugh, and that bat! Anyone else really hungry?

Halfway 2 Halloween~ Magic Meals

One year before trick or treating, my Mom took us to McDonald's for Happy Meals. It was great! Unfortunately they wasn't running a Halloween promotion at the time. They were, however, still giving out Hot Wheels from a prior promotion. By Halloween night though, all they had were a bunch of the same orange van. Same night, afterwards she stops by the store on the way home and got us Dragon Riders of the Styx toys while there. Now those fit the holiday.

Going Ape This Week

Nothing warrants a trip back in time like a Monday! It's going to be a weird week. Tuesday I get my second vaccination shot and will be feeling like crap afterwards! There's a new episode of Not As Brightly Lit available for your taste of pumpkin spice in spring. We're halfway to Halloween, but everyday is Halloween on Zone Base! Speaking of the spooky season, it's the first week of May and you know what that means? Spooky Summer will be starting soon! After Memorial Day weekend, summer starts and the scary party will begin on Zone Base! If this is your first summer as a reader, that means spooky clips and posts all through summer leading up the the big Zone Base Halloween Celebration! Which will technically still be summer since that starts in early August! Two months of Spooky Summer, three months of Halloween. FIVE WHOLE MONTHS OF SPOOKY SHIT. It's a pretty good time. Star Wars Episode Burger Chef

I haven't ate at a Burger Chef since I was a small child and probably won't ever again as they've long went out of business. I do remember liking them a lot, but to be honest, all I probably had was a kids meal. A kids meal is pretty standard fare hamburger and small fires with a small coke. No matter the place, the basic hamburger and fries are usually pretty good. Now if I had a Star Wars kids meal, I'd probably be a lot more enthusiastic about that kids meal. A hamburger and fries is always a decent meal, but a STAR WARS hamburger and fries? Look, the force is a powerful thing. Not only can it magically bring people back to life when extremely convenient, but have you ever tasted force infused ketchup? Capital amazing.

Have I mentioned just how much I love old fast food commercials? The good old days are long gone in favor of more healthy living and one can't really complain about a push towards better living. Though realistically, I'm sure the same level of advertising could peddle the more healthier options just as well.
