Weekly Halloween~ What's the cat looking at?

Every think you saw something? We all have, and that's the basis for a lot of ghost stories. We either write it off as the lights from a car or a demon straight from hell in the living room. When it comes to animals acting strange though, that's another matter. If they're staring at the floor intently... there's something there. Maybe a bug got in or a piece of fuzz floated by... or that demon is actually in the living room. That's the creepy thing when your pet stares at seemingly nothing. They're looking at something, or someone.

Weekly Update: 6/6/22

It's the beginning of another new week here on Planet Zone and time for another update! I hope you guys are enjoying Spooky Summer. We'll be enjoying some of the more scarier things out there at a higher volume mixed in the the regular content until August when Halloween moves in! It's a lot of fun and a great way to spend the scorching heat of summer time. This is where I'd make a pun about the chills or something cooling you down if I were a better blogger.

This weekend was a much more relaxed weekend than normal. I didn't do a weekend report last week due to the holiday. Which was a busy weekend with a lot of shopping in between relaxing. We needed new clothes and got some fun stuff as well! This weekend was mostly spent at home aside from a few errands. Thanks to dropping the Mrs's car off to get a tire fixed taking most of the day, I didn't get much sleep between those errands and random phone call from the shop when they managed to work us in.

I did work in a pleasant supper of a Morning Star vegetarian buffalo chicken sandwich with some Nathan's crinkle cut fries. I've mentioned my low sodium diet before here and those vegetarian buffalo wings and fries are pretty compatible while being really good. I honestly look forward to eating them and make it a weekend thing. Just right while watching Obi-Wan and some paranormal television. Followed it up with some nice watermelon chunks.

Sunday was spent playing with some toys from the backlog and napping. I finally played with Legacy Kickback and man I love him. As long time readers know, I do enjoy insect bots. No clue why, just do. Meant to crack open Laser Optimus Prime, just didn't get to it. I really need to play with my Gundam Infinity figures. I got the complete set for Christmas and have a fun plan for them in the future. We ate lunch at my Mom's house. My brother, his wife, and their youngest daughter was there as well. My brother and I worked the grill and cooked up some great T-bones and hamburger sliders.

Afterwords the Mrs and I meant to do some yard work, but that just didn't happen. I also meant to organize my toy room this weekend, but that didn't happen either. Oh well, there's always next weekend. Now that it's summer, we're prone to staying home more. So it'll get done. I didn't buy any toys this weekend, but I did get something I've been wanting for making TikTok and Reels. You'll see.

My little videos have been hit or miss, but I've had something in mind for them for a while now. No time like now to get working on that! I meant to find my light tent for this project, but must have put it somewhere other than I remembered. An alternative was constructed in it's absence for the time being. It's been a minute since I've done toy posts here on the site, and a while since doing them on the socials. They'll be back, but without the TV tray. Well, mostly. I do like that thing.

I've got a fun week in mind for you all. A little heads up, there's going to be an extra bio post this week. I've mentioned before that most content is made in advance and the holiday week threw that off a little. Good thing I like bios posts and you guys clearly like reading them. It won't be 100%, but they'll be a little scarier for summer. We're in for a spooky summer before the pumpkin spiced mayhem and a lot of fun here on Zone Base. Thank you for reading and please don't forget to share with your friends.

7 Days...

The new week has started here on Planet Zone, sharing this curse with your friends may just save your life! Speaking of curse, I've got a fun week of content in mind... if that's your sort of thing. The weekend was a pretty good one for personally, it somehow felt like a 3 day weekend... and I'm making the most of that. We did'nt do much, but managed to make two different stops at Target, a trip to Walmart. Not to mention visits to Walgreen's, Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Big Lots. Target and Walmart are getting their Halloween sections nicely stocked with some good stuff.

I have two nearby locations of each, and the Walmart we went to this weekend is kind of a mess. Normally it's not very organized and messy, but they've been remodeling it the past year... so it's a giant cluster fuck. The Halloween section is just thrown together with no rhyme or reason and in some instances there's just boxes laying on the floor and shelves unopened with no stock on the shelf. This was the same store I found the skeleton action figue last week. I looked for another to send Shawn... but it's like they never existed.

I did get a Wingfinger, so it wasn't a total skeleton loss. Both trips to Target earned me a Studio Series 86 Wreck-Gar, scout/action attack Ramjet, and Fright Features Venkman and Spengler! I've finally gotten all four Ghostbusters, just need to find... the rest of the line. Very happy that they're selling well... just wish I was having an easier time getting them. Now there's the kids, the ghosts, the car, AND the alternate ghost Venkman and Winston. Dang! They had a lot of Mini Pufts, but I decided to hold for the time being.

Dollar Tree had none of the He-Man mini figures that I've been looking for, and Dollar General ... still hadn't stocked the Halloween section. Walgreen's was good, no Red Alert, but some spooky skeletons. Big Lots was also a bust, but I grabbed a Transformers blind pack for a video coming soon. Kinda tempted to do a bunch more, but taking the videos slowly with baby steps. Tuesday morning means a trip to a few Starbucks with the Mrs. for the new Halloween cups. You wouldnt believe how long those lines get. Well, you've got 7 days of this curse left. Please share with your friends! Thank you for continuing to support Zone Base. It's fun keeping this thing updated, but awesome to see people enjoy it.

Doritos Roulette of the Devil

Doritos Roulette isn't just a bag of spicy chips mixed with regular chips in a game of chance, oh no, it's the portal to hell. Or so this Halloween variety would have you believe. Though really, it's a long known fact that Doritos are the official chip of Halloween parties.

So... he went though all that just to bring two bags and two six packs of Pepsi? Overkill much?

You're not you when you're dead in a well

So... yeah... The whole Ring thing doesn't work the same in today's world huh? I mean, sure, it's not like there isn't allegedly cursed videos floating around the internet as is. Though I'd think it'd be a whole lot easier to get that sucker watched by someone else and the curse off you quick. I mean, just email that sucker to a co-worked you don't like. Man... if that joker makes it to Facebook, we're all screwed.

Terminator 2 3D Sadako edition

Part 1 (of 3)
Part 2 (of 3)
Part 3 (of 3)

Man, during Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios, nothing is off limits. In this video at the Japan park (I believe in 2015) they did a special Halloween version of Terminator 2 3D where Cyberdyne Systems got infected with the Ring virus. For those of you who've never seen Terminator 2 3D, it's a 4D attraction with actors walking in and out of the screen in addition to the 3D film with various effects. So that bit at the end when Sadako walks out of the screen and then scares everyone... she was literally in your face if you were there.

Talk about a jump scare warning.
