Roboka Battle With Takara Bots!

This is the kind of thing I'd love to have available in my local area. The Roboka Battle Card Game is an arcade card battle game of the type that's pretty common in Japan. While I'm not sure how much I'd play the game (I like to mash buttons), I'd love the chance to buy the game cards and tie in toys. Who knows, maybe I'd like the game too.

 

The game features characters from Transformers Cyberverse, Shinkalion, and Earth Granner. Whenever companies do these types of crossovers I generally enjoy it. The fictional reasoning isn't always the best and often made even worse by fan resources, it can be pretty fun to pit characters who normally don't interact against one another.

The oddball cards are the kind of thing I'd love to find at older BotCons. It's definitely a plus seeing the Cyberverse characters in a video game, even if it's one I'll never likely play. I just caught up on my DVR recorded episodes of Cyberverse and man I hate that this is the last season. It's just a fun show. Though I'm going to do my best to enjoy it while it's around and things like this is great. I'd really like to experience Earth Granner a little more. It's pretty neat looking and seemingly a follow up to Drive Head. Takara just does things I like, know what I mean?

Mecard turning up

A few months ago, I said noted on the neatness of Mecard and had hoped it would start turning up here in the US. I guess I'm psychic as I found it at Target the other day as well as heard from others that they've seen it a far as a few weeks back. That's great. I've noticed a really similar line to it in the car toys section of stores usually next to the Havox Machines toys in recent months. I guess it's not too surprising as it's been popping up in Canada that it would find it's way here. I was tempted to get some but passed for the moment (had like a million things to buy, so didn't exactly feel like buying anything else), but may grab some soon. They're certainly neat and after marveling at their ads for a bit now, I'd be foolish to pass a super easy opportunity to pick a few up. Especially as they're at my local Target.

SEGA arcade card games

One thing I wish would take off here in the states is those neat trading card arcade games that I see often in Japan. It seems every attempt just kinda stalls. Which surprises me as trading cards and video games are always popular. Seeing as the toys to life craze is dying down (something I was too very into until burning out about a year before it started dying out itself) I can understand. But something like a card game seems pretty easy to sell. Specially in today's world of smart phone games, I figure just scan a code on the card and boom. Either way, man, I'd love it if it was a thing here. This Animated card game by SEGA had some really neat cards and while I don't know if the games were fun or not (I can see myself enjoying The Shooting, not sure if The Chase would be fun), I'd certainly enjoy myself participating in the activity.

Turning Mecard

Turning Mecard from what I understand is a Korean robot toy line that's being introduced in Canada and Australia. I'd like to see it here in the states. The optimistic person that I am, I would think this would sell well here. Even if it didn't, it'd be nice to get a few without paying import prices. I may sometime swing by my local H-Mart and see if any has appeared there. It doesn't happen often, but every blue moon some neat toys will pop up.
