Weekly Update 4/1/24

Empire of Old weekend was quite the adventure. I've made my thoughts on the movies known in the past two posts, but my birthday and Easter were pretty great! The Mrs absolutely spoiled me on my birthday as did my Mother and Brother. I got all sorts of toys and cool stuff. Too much to list here. Ate some great food, probably too much... but I'll get back on the wagon Monday. Just had a cheat weekend instead of a weekly cheat day. It was a special occasion! Well, I'll keep this weeks update short and thank all of you for reading Zone Base! There's a fun week of content coming for your eyeballs. Prepare for Week

Welcome to another new week here on Zone Base! I hope everyone had a great weekend! I spent mine doing a mix of housework Saturday and struggling with allergies Sunday! I managed to get some early Easter shopping done and enjoyed my weekly bubble milk tea while watching paranormal videos! With my birthday and Toylanta coming in the next few weeks, I've been holding off buying very much stuff. I did order Demon Dart BB-32 for some Beastbox fun however. I'm hoping to get a new episode of Transform Squadron out within the next few weeks. Between wanting to set up a new recording setup and mentally stretched out... it just hasn't happened yet. I haven't abandoned it, promise! After some annual routine medical testing this week, I'm hoping my mental space will be open enough to get some recording done. Thank you all for continuing to read Zone Base. I'll be renewing the domain soon and that'll mean this is fully the 8th year of the site! Well, officially. Today is Godzilla's 67th birthday. Toho threw him a birthday party in the form of a new short featuring the suits from Final Wars. Happy Birthday Godzilla!

I Was 42 And The World Was In Flames

Today was my birthday, so I hope you all don't mind me being slack on getting something posted so late. Since it was on a Monday, my wife had me a little celebration on Saturday. My mom came over and I spent the morning... sleeping because I work at night, but early afternoon opening the great presents they got me. Transformers, Kaiju, spooky shit, a brand new grill (woo!), a super retrocade, cold hard cash/gifcards, and more!

Spoiling me rotten included take out (can't actually dine in anywhere due to covid-19) from Red Robin (I love Red Robin) and some great cup cakes made by the Mrs. It was a great day followed by a Sunday of watching Tales from the Darkside. Monday, my actual birthday was intended to be spent playing my new copy of Link's Awakening but got side tracked with a small dental emergency. What a day. Thanks everyone for reading Zone Base, and fair warning, you've got two months until Spooky Summer/Halloween starts, and I've been busy cultivating since January.
