I just wanted to point out just how nice this image is. I'm not sure, but I think it's a scanned sticker sheet. Just found the image without any context to where it's from originally.
One thing I wish would take off here in the states is those neat trading card arcade games that I see often in Japan. It seems every attempt just kinda stalls. Which surprises me as trading cards and video games are always popular. Seeing as the toys to life craze is dying down (something I was too very into until burning out about a year before it started dying out itself) I can understand. But something like a card game seems pretty easy to sell. Specially in today's world of smart phone games, I figure just scan a code on the card and boom. Either way, man, I'd love it if it was a thing here. This Animated card game by SEGA had some really neat cards and while I don't know if the games were fun or not (I can see myself enjoying The Shooting, not sure if The Chase would be fun), I'd certainly enjoy myself participating in the activity.
ToyLanta has come and gone until next year. With it a new set of memories and experiences. This year I did something different, this is StarViper. StarViper is the first of what I hope to be a ongoing series of custom Zone Base exclusive toys. There's only two. Shawn has one and I the other. If you follow me on various social media, I've mentioned buying Siege Caliburts for a project. Hand painting them into an original character was fun. Sure, it's pretty basic and others could have done better. I'm still proud of him. I came up with the name with wanting it to sound like a ridiculous old video game character. I liked it so much that I've been using it as a display name in places. Personality wise, StarViper is a Decepticon Occultist that lives on Planet Zone. StarViper is a member of a secret organization formed by some of the Cyberdroids that first came to Planet Micro. His alt mode is a blaster that can be used by larger Transformers. While used this way, Star
The He-Man and She-Ra Christmas Special is a very odd cartoon. Two earth children find themselves on Eternia and have an adventure. It's really a series of sub-plots strung together to make a short 40 minute little movie. One of the more interesting adventures is when the Monstroids get involved. In the MOTU toy line, Monstroid is a large robot monster that's part of The Evil Horde. In the grand tradition of Filmation taking liberties with the source material, instead there's a group of transforming robots called The Monstroids. Though they did later on appear as member of the Horde in a later She-Ra episode. Clearly both a take on the popular transforming robot toys at the time (obviously Transformers, but there was a few other lines as well) and maybe a little dig at the competition (we've got to stop those evil transforming robots) before the Meteorbs were introduced . I've mentioned before how much I love the bat shit crazy nature of the line in general. A ra
